The MB89980 series has been developed as a general-purpose version of the F2MC*-8L family
consisting of proprietary 8-bit, single-chip microcontrollers. The MB89980 series is applicable to
a wide range of applications from welfare products to industrial equipment, including portable
devices.
This manual describes the functions and operation of the MB89980 series and is aimed at
engineers using the MB89980 series of microcontrollers to develop actual products. See the
F2MC-8L MB89600 Series Programming Manual for details on the MB89980 instruction set. Corporate names revised in the documents
The Fujitsu Limited reorganized its LSI business into a wholly owned subsidiary, the Fujitsu
Microelectronics Limited on March 21, 2008.
The corporate names “Fujitsu” and “Fujitsu Limited” described all in this document have been
revised to the “Fujitsu Microelectronics Limited”. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding
