General Description
The NB2031S is a reference design of a self-contained GPS receiver module based on the NemeriX NJ2020 and NJ1006A high sensitivity A-GPS chipset. The receiver embeds an ARM7TDMI based host processor with onchip Flash memory necessary to store the NemeriX NS2020 GPS firmware. It supports both an on-board passive antenna and an external active antenna with auto detection of the external active antenna, when it gets connected. The module also provides the phantom power for the external active antenna. The NB2031S interfaces to the host system via the host processor UART using the NMEA protocol expanded with NemeriX PNMRX commands. More interfaces are available on a exp
