VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES IEEE Detroit Section chair, 1940. Member of the Editorial Board of IRE Proceedings for 15 years. Founded the John Kraus Antenna Award from the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society in 2004
AWARDS IEEE Centennial Medal, 1984; IEEE Edison Medal, 1985; IEEE Heinrich Hertz Medal, 1990; IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Distinguished Achievement Award, 2003
