RF circuits generally have many passive components (R, L, C ) Inductors larger than about 10 nH consume signicant die area and have relatively poor Q (typically below 10) and low SRF (Self Resonance Frequency). Tolerances for capacitors are relatively loose (20% or worse). High loss and poor voltage coecients (VC) for area-ecient capacitors. Resistors with low self-capacitance and temperature coecient (TC) are hard to come by. High , loose tolerance, and limited range of values.
