GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The GSC3LT is the most highly integrated member of the GSC3 GPS engine series from SiRF. It integrates GPS baseband, GPS RF and firmware functions in a space-optimizing 7mm x 7mm ball grid array. Only a crystal oscillator, LNA and SAW filters are required to create a complete GPS receiver. The GSC3LT receives and process the NAVSTAR L1 signal to provide Position, Speed, Heading and GPS Time to the host via either a selectable SPI or UART serial host interface. The GSC3LT utilizes the SiRFstarIII-LT GPS DSP core implemented with leading edge 90nm CMOS process technology operating at 1.2V, the first of its kind from SiRF.
