The DSP16000 C compiler generates object files and executables to support all DSP16000 core-based devices. It does not generate files that are specific to any particular device. Device-specific, memorymapped registers associated with on-board peripherals, such as serial ports or host ports, are defined within header files shipped with the LUxWORKS™ tool suite. The user can include these in their C source code, and the registers are accessed via mnemonics
with standard memory accesses.
