1. Grounding, Rules of Thumb
• Use Multilayer PCB w/ internal ground planes
• Ground Rings: > 2.5 mm wide
• Power traces next to ground traces
• Connect power ground to edge connector
• Design low impedance grounds
• Use TVS from power pin to PCB ground

2. Shielding Material: < 1 ohm/square
• Metal Enclosure / Case
• Conductive Filled Plastics
• Conductive Paint

3.) PCB Trace Design (layout)
• 120V = > 1.5mm
• 1500V = > 2.2 mm
• 20000V = > 20 mm





4.) PCB Connectors
• Recommend Shielded Female type
• Mount in center of card edge
• Connect cable shield to circuit ground
