Abstract―Cavity-backed slot (CBS) antennas are commonly used in earth-based and space-borne applications. In this manuscript, the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method is used to analyze different antenna characteristics of such elements including input impedance, coupling, and radiation patterns.
