Surnrnuq-Theoretical results, validatandawayfromresonance, for the impedance propertiesof the rotatedseries slot, the displaced series slot, and the longitudinal shuntslot have been derived by the use of variationalexpressionscoupledwithcertainstored power considerations. The additional influence of finite wall thickness, an appreciable factor, is taken into account by a microwave networktreatment. The results for the zero-thickness resistive elements become identicalwith those of Stevenson when theslot length is made equal to a half wavelength.
