MRD for using Bluetooth Profiles over UWB

Abstract The purpose of this MRD is to establish the market need for a higher data rate function for Bluetooth wireless technology. Incorporating a higher data rate function into an already mature technology and utilizing the already existing profiles will ensure backward compatibility and interoperability with already existing Bluetooth devices which will increase the adoption rate of a higher speed technology. The technical requirements for this will be encompassed in the Feature Requirements Document (FRD).
