Abstract Bandwidth enhancement on a miniature PIFA antenna is demonstrated in this paper. The miniature PIFA antenna consists of multilayers of very high permittivity materials ( E , > 35). A 75% reduction in size has been accomplished as compared to that of the conventional PIFA. The achieved antenna gain is 7 dBi and the bandwidth is 5.7%. 1. Introduction
