A Note On Total Receiver Sensitivity of Mobile Terminal Antennas

Abstract
The definition of the Total Receiver Sensitivity (TRS) has been revisited. The new definition relates to real propagation environments by taking into account the propagation impairments experienced by the mobile in the same manner as the Mean Effective Gain (MEG) does with respect to the angular power distribution of the waves impinging at the mobile. A closed form expression for the TRS as function of the cross-polarization power ratio (XPR) and the probability distribution of impinging waves has been obtained. Fin
