Hearing Aid Compatibility T-Coil Extension (only PRO and higher)
25.1 Purpose and overview

The purpose of the HAC T-Coil Extension is to extend DASY5 with the capability of Audio Band Magnetic (ABM) measurements according to standard ANSI-C63.19-2006 [1]. Together with the HAC RF extension, it permits complete characterization of the emissions of a wireless device (WD). The signals measured during these tests represent the eld picked up by the T-Coil of a hearing aid. This application note describes the measurements required for the wireless device T-Coil signal test that is described in [1], Chapter 6. Using DASY5, three orthogonal axes are scanned with a probe incorporating a single sensor coil: one axial (perpendicular) and two radial (transverse and longitudinal) direction
